Many families have grown accustomed to owning a minivan. The vehicles are comfortable and spacious, which makes them accommodating for passengers and cargo. For these reasons, the Pacifica remains popular. However, the hybrid also helps owners save money on fuel.

The seven-passenger van is equipped with a 3.6-liter, six-cylinder engine and two electric motors that are powered by a rechargeable battery pack. Together, the motors provide up to 260 horsepower and have an EPA rating of 82 MPGe. When fully charged, the battery enables owners to drive up to 32 miles.

In addition to charging the battery via a plug-in cord, Pacifica Hybrid's battery pack automatically transfers electricity to the system each time the brakes are applied. Owners have the option of using public charging stations or installing a station on their property. See the latest Pacifica models at John Hirsch's Cambridge Motors LLC.
